Photo-Commentary: The Chinese Girl’s Dilemma

The Chinese Girl's Dilemma: What's a Girl to Do?

I first came across this on Buzz and the City, and thought it was simply hilarious, not to mention, beautifully done.

I then came across it again when it was picked up by Little Red Book, and this time, felt compelled to share.

I’m a big fan of this humorous take on the modern Chinese woman’s options (or lack thereof) — in a dating scene characterized by an abundance of men. Simultaneously witty and insightful, I particularly love that it was conceived and created by a man. Triumph of quantity over quality?

  1. Hahaha. That’s very clever. So where’s the normal guy? or he just doesn’t exist?

Well, sure, there should be one right? But I gave your question some thought…and I’m not sure what that would look like! How would that even be portrayed? (PS. I’m not sure there’s a normal girl either!)
